When the academy was set up just over 30 years ago, it had the following three aims: These aims are just as relevant for us today as they were over 30 years ago. We have high expectations of all of our students and they achieve great things whilst they are with us. We place an emphasis on academic success and personal development. As well as being well-qualified, it is equally important for us that when students leave us they do so as well-rounded young people who are kind and considerate of others. As such, we aim to make them truly global citizens who are aware of current affairs and international issues and who take responsibility for themselves, their environment and others.
