Gatehouse is an independent school for girls and boys aged 3 to 11 in East London, near Victoria Park. Accommodated in a recently renovated Victorian building with modern extensions and set in landscaped grounds which include climbing frames and an Astroturf sports court. The site is alongside Regent's Canal and the many acres of Victoria Park. At Gatehouse we aim to provide children with a caring and supportive learning environment, developing and encouraging each child's abilities and helping them to build an excellent foundation for life and work. Classes are non-streamed, and of mixed ability throughout all age ranges. From the age of seven onwards, children are subject taught by highly qualified specialist staff as well as having their own dedicated form teacher. We are part of the Independent Schools' Association and the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools , both of which are members of the Independent Schools' Council. We were recently listed in the Sunday Times Top 100 Prep Schools. Leavers go on to attend such schools as City of London Boys and Girls, Chigwell, Highgate, Forest, Bancroft's, Portland Place, Blackheath High and Colfe's.
