Working together to make sense of the world Freemantles School, situated in Mayford Green, just off the A320 Guildford Road immediately to the south of Woking town centre, is part of Surrey County Council Local Authority's provision for students with special educational needs. It is one of two Surrey schools catering for the needs of children and young people with autism and draws its pupils mainly from the west of the county. Students at the school have autism and communication difficulties, sometimes displaying emotional or behavioural difficulties that are related to their special educational needs. Co-educational and non-denominational, the school currently has both Primary and Secondary provision, taking students from 4 to 19 in new purpose-designed buildings equipped with the latest technology and equipment.
