At Abingdon the voice and representation of all of our children in fundemental in all that we do. We aim to establish a democratic culture across school emulating the British parlimentary system which has shaped modern Britain. Through a variety of platforms, we are commitment to listening to the views, wishes and experiences of all children and young people , shaping what we do as a school community, giving them invaluable experiences for life beyond school and demonstrating that they are valued members of our school community. All children are visible within school as they are wearing badges and their pictures can been seen in our main school hall. School Council representatives are voted for at the start of the school year by their class mates, having nominated themselves and voiced the reasons for their nominations. They are aspirational and work with the School Council lead to make the school even better and represent the school at local events.
