Pierview Academy is an Independent Special Needs School for young people aged between 11 and 25 with an Education Health Care Plan. We are Ofsted registered and cater for 30 young people who have struggled in mainstream education due to their special educational needs. Our unique selling point is that we offer small classes or one to one learning where the curriculum is tailored to the needs of the individual. We also recognise the importance of building routines, relationships, respect and trust in order to achieve successful teaching and learning. The school is based in the heart of Gravesend town centre, which provides excellent local facilities for sport and recreation. The school benefits from several unique learning spaces. We have a vocational suite delivering woodcraft, textiles and photography and a unique art studio themed on the original interior of what was a printing engine room. The school has separate space for Sixth Form students and a Nurturing and Social Area (NASA) for those one require one to one support.
