About
School overview

Nurture students getting to grips with basic maths formulas When a pupil is having difficulties in a mainstream school and might be (or has been) permanently excluded they may be referred to a Pupil Referral Unit. The Bridge is a Key Stage 3 and 4 Pupil Referral Unit supporting students, families and schools across Halton. We teach the same National Curriculum and offer the same level of qualifications as a mainstream school. We also support pupils to address their emotional and behavioural barriers to learning. Life at The Bridge School brings opportunities for qualifications, learning, new experiences, self-exploration, developing citizenship and being a positive member of our communities. Staff are passionate about contributing to the life outcomes of the students they support. Education is at the core of our approach and as such the quality of our teaching and the environment of our classrooms and school is a point of pride. Our educational approach takes in the importance of core learning in English, Maths and Science but also places great weight on personal growth, particularly the emotional resilience we develop and the social skills we practice. We believe the more we all put in, the more we all get out.
