At Shaldon Primary School, our mission is that all children have the confidence and drive to make a positive difference to themselves, others and the world around them. Our curriculum is every planned experience a child encounters throughout the school day - that includes lunch time, assemblies, clubs as well as lessons. Every planned experience is an opportunity for our children to develop character - a true understanding of their unique skills and talents and their place in the world. Our desire is to develop the character of our pupils so that they are kind, respectful and responsible. Our curriculum drives our values of citizenship, leadership, exploration, expression and flourishing. These values guide us daily: informing our learning, driving our curiosity and inspiring us to be caring citizens within our community. We have designed our own curriculum which aims to give the pupils a chance to experience many opportunities, meet experts and perhaps find a passion which will be lifelong. We believe that our children should develop an understanding of the wider world, their place within it and how they will make a positive difference.
