The Lighthouse offers specialist educational provision with a specific focus on trauma-informed and attachment-based interventions. We recognise that every student is an individual with their own needs, desires and dreams. We know that every student responds differently to trauma so we provide comprehensive educational assessments and bespoke learning packages to enable each of our young people to be successful. At The Lighthouse, we understand the importance of relationships and how mutually respectful relationships can support inclusion and enable and build trust. We believe in the importance of modelling desired behaviours and taking the time to reflect when we get it wrong. Feeling safe and having strong relationships provides a secure base in which staff and pupils can relate, reflect and rebuild and this ethos underpins our behaviour expectations.
