Avenue Centre for Education (ACE) is an inclusive and innovative KS3 and KS4 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) supporting students in Luton. ACE has a model of working which is based on the Journey of the Child and commits to personalised, destination-focused contracts of education for all referred students whether they are at risk of exclusion or excluded from mainstream school. The work at ACE is broadly aimed in providing a curriculum and learning environment that allows students to rebuild their education and successfully return to and sustain, a place in mainstream schools or achieve a post 16 destination of choice. Significant emphasis is placed on working in partnership with families, partner schools, alternative provisions and external professionals, to develop an individual approach for every student which supports their success.
